On International Women’s Day, YEG BOSS BABES is pleased to partner with two other organizations making waves for women in Edmonton and beyond. On March 8, we come together to bring awareness to an important cause. Human Trafficking is one of the fastest growing crimes in Canada - and we want to change that.

In partnership with Hillberg & Berk & SkirtsAFire Festival, let's connect over a beautiful brunch, citrus mimosas & genuine conversations with like minded women here in Edmonton. Hosted by Jocelyn Davison from The Virtual Effect, hear from our passionate keynote speaker Amber Niemeier and be entertained by Tandem Yam and Poet Nisha Patel.

Hillberg & Berk is thrilled to launch and promote their International Women’s Day campaign at this event. Exclusive jewellery pieces will be for sale, which will raise funds and awareness to combat Human Trafficking.

SkirtsAfire is Edmonton’s only theatre and multidisciplinary arts festival featuring women. The festival was created in response to the huge gender gap for professional female artists and to ensure women's voices and stories are being equally represented and enjoyed for people in Edmonton, Alberta, across Canada and beyond. Be sure to check out all of the incredible and inspiring events taking place over the 10 day festival, running February 27 - March 8. www.skirtsafire.com

Entertainment

Tandem Yam

"Do you like Dad jokes? How about potatoes? It's hard to imagine there's a lot of hilarious material on root vegetables but Tandem Yam has rows of them planted! These two 'best-spuds' formed an acoustic duo (hence the 'tandem' part) that features the works of folk/pop artists Kayla Williams and Melody Stang, held together with witty between-song banter created from years touring as musical comedy act The Dirrty Show. We yam what we yam!"
